After 21 games Brad Hunt has scored 27 goals and is the UIL leading scorer in
the Metroplex. Brad and
Sven Herrmann are among the UIL leaders for assists, and the
Raccoons are among the UIL leaders
for Team Offense (2.45 g.p.g.) and Team Defense (1.0 g.p.g.)

27th
At Pizza Hut Park Stadium HS, the Lady
Raccoons avenged their only District loss by beating Wakeland 1-0 to move
into a 1st place tie in District.
Scoring for Frisco were Katie O’Malley with an assist from Alicia Reyes.
The Raccoons, however, were not able to find the back of the goal and
lost a tough match to the Wakeland Boys 1-0.

23rd
At Frisco HS, the Raccoons knocked
off 1st place RL Turner with a 3-1 victory.
The Raccoons came out with great intensity and Mo Matehualo scored with a
shot at the 3 minute mark, and then Sven Herrmann scored a 2nd goal a
few minutes later. RL Turner played
a very tough game and managed to get a goal to make the score 2-1.
But when Brad Hunt scored the
Raccoons 3rd goal before the end of the 1st half the
Boys had enough to give Turner their 1st District loss.
Assisting on the goals were Kyle Chancellor and Brad.
In JV play, the Lady Raccoons
played a 0-0 tie. The
Raccoons JVI also played to a 0-0
tie and the JVII boys lost 2-0.
Next Games:
March 6 The
Raccoons
(Varsity at 6:45, JV 1 at 5:00 pm, and JV II at 4:00pm) host Centennial at
Memorial Stadium. The
Lady Raccoons (Varsity & JV) are
will match-up with Centennial at
Dr. Pink Stadium. Game times are 5:00 and
6:45 p.m.

February
13th
At PHP Stadium, the
Lady Raccoons
got the night started out on the right track as they beat Centennial 1-0 when
Katie O’Malley scored in the 1st half.
In the second game, the
Raccoons
came away with 2 points when the game ended 3-3, and then won the shootout.
The
Raccoons
scored first on Brad Hunt’s goal (assist by Sven Herrmann).
Despite the
Raccoons
controlling the ball much of the 1st half, the Titans put in 3 goals
to lead at half time 3-1. But the
Raccoons
came out and played smart and aggressively in the 2nd half.
Brad scored the second goal, assisted by Luis Almeida, and then Sven
Herrmann scored on great shot from 20 yards out after receiving the ball from
Alphonse Coleman. In the shootout,
Brad scored and then after 5 shooters and each team with 1 goal, Will Davis
scored for the
Raccoons
and then went back to the goal and shut down the Titans’ final shooter for a
fantastic come from behind shootout win!
In JV play, the
Lady Raccoons
played to a 0-0 tie. The
JVII Boys won 1-0 when Dario Blanco
scored with an assist from Rudolfo Rodriquez.
The JVI lost 3-1; Marcus Quinn scored for the
Raccoons
with an assist from Dylan Sammarco.

Results for Tuesday night vs. Wakeland HS were not what the teams wanted.
At Memorial Stadium, the
Raccoons
played well enough to win but could not convert their numerous chances, and when
the Wolverines scored on a header with 10 minutes remaining the Boys lost the
hard fought battle 1-0. At Wakeland
HS, the
Lady Raccoons
could not score and lost 2-0.
In JV action, the JVII
Raccoons
player to a 0-0 tie, JVI Boys and JV Girls both lost 1-0.

6th
The
Lady Raccoons
opened District play with a 5-0 win over R.L. Turner.
Scoring was done by Taylor Graves (2 goals), Brittany Wispell, Katie
O’Malley and Chelsea Geller.
The
Raccoons
had a disappointing district opener as they lost to R.L. Turner 2-0. The Boys
had numerous chances as they had 2 goals called back on close offside calls, as
well as several shots off the post.
In JV action, the JVII team played to a 2-2 tie with Kevin Signo scoring the 2
goals.
JVI lost 3-1 with Matt Carroll getting the lone FHS goal.

3rd
The
Lady Raccoons
beat Denton Ryan 1-0 with Alex Fuller scoring her first goal after coming back
from an injury. The
Raccoons.
played J.J. Pearce to a 1-1 tie with Kyle Fischer getting FHS’s goal.
In JV Action, the JV
Raccoons
lost 3-1. Marcus Quinn scored the FHS
goal on a nice assist from Ryan Radcliffe.

29th
After 2 reschedules due to the ice storm, the
Raccoons
hosted Denton Guyer HS and eeked out a
1-0 victory. Brad Hunt scored in the
early minutes on a throw-in when th e ball deflected off the Keepers fingers
into the “upper 90”
The
Lady Raccoons
and Corsicana HS played to a 0-0 tie at the FHS Field.
The JV Girls won 1-0 when Morgan Jones’ scored on Morgan Greer’s assist.
The
Raccoons
traveled to Rockwall HS Friday night and both teams won.
The JV Boys won 3-0 on goals by Ryan Radcliffe, Dylan Sammarco and Omar
Shoahib. Scoring for the Varsity were
Brad Hunt, Kyle Chancellor and 2 goals by Alphonse Coleman.

22 - 24th
McKinney ISD Tournamet
Thursday night, the Lady Raccoons opened the tournament
beating Rockwall Heath 1-0. Scoring the FHS goal was Alicia Reyes.
Friday evening was another 1-0 win over Justin Northwest with Katie O'Malley
scoring the lone goal. Saturday morning, the girls beat host McKinney HS
2-0 when Taylor Johnson and Alicia Reyes each scored a goal. The
win resulted in the Lady Raccoons winning the Championship trophy for the Girls
Scion Cup.
The
Raccoons
played McKinney North to a 3-3 tie in their opening game.
The Boys game back from a 3-1 deficit to tie the game in the last two
minutes. Scoring for FHS were Kyle
Chancellor and two goals on headers by Brad Hunt.
Alphonse Coleman had the assist on all three goals.
Friday night the Boys beat Granbury 1-0 when Brad Hunt again scored with
an assist from Alphonse Coleman. Saturday
morning in the frigid air the Raccoons kicked in 5 goals to beat The Colony 5-0
and advanced to the Boys’ Scion Cup Championship game.
Scoring was done by Sven Hermann, Dylan Sammarco, Billy Deschaw, and Brad
Hunt (2). Assisting on goals were Sven
Hermann, Kyle Chancellor and Alphonse Coleman.
In the Championship Game, the Raccoons fought McKinney Boyd to a 1-1 draw and
then lost the Shootout to claim the
2nd Place Scion Cup.

20th
- In Denton, the Raccoons knocked off Denton HS 6-1.
Scoring his first varsity goal for FHS was Austin Allen. Also scoring were
Alphonse Coleman, Kyle Chancellor (2 goals), and Brad Hunt (2 goals) for the
Raccoons' most production thus far this season. The JV Raccoons played the
Denton JV to a 2-2 tie. Ryan Radcliffe and Matt Carroll kicked in the FHS
goals.

16 - 17 ─
At Greenville, the Raccoons tied 0-0. The Boys outshot the Lions by 20+
shots but could not find the back of the net. The JV Boys won 1-0 with
Marcus Quinn scoring on an assist from Kreig Wallace with 10 seconds left in the
game.
In the Plano
Tournament of Champions, the Lady Raccoons finished 3rd in the 8 team
tournament. After losing 2-1 to Flower Mound (goal by Chelsea Geller), the
Lady Raccoons beat The Colony 2-1 (both goals by Alicia Reyes) and then beat
Lamar in the consolation game to claim 3rd place.
After
playing to 0-0 tie in the Lamar game, Katie O'Malley and Alicia Reyes scored the
2 shootout goals. Jackie patterson was outstanding in the goal as only 1
shot went in which resulted in the 2-1 SO victory. Bobbie Gutierrez was
names to the All-Tournament Team.

January
13th ─ At
McKinney North the Lady
Raccoons won 1-0 with a goal by Alicia
Reyes. The Lady Raccoons JV also won 2-1 with goals by Morgan Greer and Bailey
Bowers.

Raccoons lost a tough fight against Little Elm. After falling behind 2-0, the boys came back
to tie the game at 2-2 but gave up a late goal and losing 3-2. Scoring for the Raccoons were Alphonse Coleman and Taylor Rippy.

On Friday the
Raccoons travel to Greenville
while the Lady Raccoons play in the Plano Tournament of Champions. Go to the tournament schedule and results for

January 8-10th ─ DR. PINK INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT: The Raccoons and Lady Raccoons Varsity teams
co-hosted the 4th annual Dr. Pink Tourney this past weekend.

LADY RACCOONS opened the
tournament by beating Adamson (8-0). On Friday, the Girls beat El Paso Del
Valle (2-0) and then lost to Plano
in a well played game (4-1). The Lady Raccoons tied Garland (3-3) on Saturday in the 2nd Place Game.
Chelsea Geller was named to the All-Tournament team.
·
RACCOONS took home 1st place
in the Silver Championship game beating Wylie HS 3-0. On Thursday, the Boys
beat Cedar Park 2-0. On Friday, Raccoons lost 1-0
to El Paso El Dorado and then beat Pflugerville Connally
5-1. Brad Hunt was named to the All-Tournament team.
